In the Workshop
Aleskei is applying stain to some drawers. Once he has liberally applied the stain he then has to dry it in such a way that the required colour is achieved.

Below you can see the beginnings of an ash breakfront cabinet. It is going to have another section fitted either side, making it over 10' wide.

Below is one of two television cabinets created for a customer. Overall size was dictated by electrical equipment, so to make the best use of space Stephen developed a drawer system each side for DVD storage rather than the doors originally intended.

Below you can see the two drawers and how they work independently of each other.

Tom is busy sanding the front to the drawers (this will be screwed to one drawer, with the other drawer being attached magnetically).

This is a three drawer sideboard- the drawers were having the handles fitted. Perfect in Natural Oak!

This is the start of the turning for the end posts- all done on a lathe using chisels.

Below is a section of the turned post ready for marking out.

This is the beginning of carving the posts, which have been marked out to a new design.

Stephen is starting the carved posts- the chisels are so sharp it is like butter going through the oak.

Swapping the chisel above for a narrower curve allows him to create the detailed line on the post.

'Cutting' into the wood ready to chisel the section out.

Creating the curve, making the design really stand out.

This section is completed ready for a little detailing and then sanding.

Tim is carefully sanding the square sections of the post, being very carful not to touch any of the carved area.
