Support System: Slats and Bed Bases
This is a traditionally cone sprung four inch firm edge base, similar to the top part of a divan base. This provides additional springing support and comfort for the mattress. It is specially designed to fit into our wooden beds, as it has rounded corners to avoid the posts.
These bed bases are also made using kiln dried timber from sustainable forests!
We will also make slats, although they will give a firmer feel from the bed base. Slats are only available to customers purchasing one of our beds.

Bed base matches to the mattress: If you choose a mattress from the Premier Pocket/Memory Foam range, then you will need a pocket range bed base. If you pick one from the Ortho Care/Standard range, the Standard/Ortho bed base is suitable.
